Resolution Property has formed a joint venture with Danish holiday village operator Lalandia to develop a €120m designer outlet project in Denmark.
The scheme in Billund, next to the town’s Legoland resort, is due to open in 2019.
Resolution will be the majority partner in the joint venture, holding 90%, and Lalandia will own the balance.
The joint venture will own the development site, which has permission for 20,000sqm of outlet retail over two phases.
Resolution said the site is close to the German border with a catchment population of 2.3m.
Shane Scott, partner and head of asset management at Resolution, said: “Billund Designer Outlet is a significant step forward in our strategy to expand our portfolio of top quality outlet centres in Europe.”
He said Resolution is targeting projects “early on in the development cycle to ensure the asset offers an unparalleled level of quality in an accessible location with very strong retail potential”.
Construction of the 12,084sqm first phase is expected to start early next year.
