A private investor, represented by international real estate advisor Savills, has purchased Jarfalla Campus in the Stockholm suburb of Jarfalla from Canadian listed company Zarlink Semiconductor. The price paid was SEK 110 mln (EUR 12 mln).
Currently generating EUR 1.5 mln in rental income per annum, the property features six buildings totalling 20,000 m2 of office space set in 6.9 hectares. Zarlink will continue to occupy 2,000 m2 at the property, through its Medical Products Group, on a lease expiring in 2020. Other tenants include US engineering giant Silex and Swedice, manufacturers of semiconductor products.
Ulf Nilsson, CEO of Savills Sweden, commented: '2010 has seen an increase in investment volumes for Swedish properties and investor appetite remains strong due to the greater ability to secure debt. The excellent tenant mix and strong rental value made the Jarfalla Campus a very appealing investment for our client and we were pleased to have secured it for them at a favourable price.'
Zarlink Semiconductor was represented by law firm Foyen.
