YIT Uralstroi, a Russian subsidiary of Finalnd's YIT Corporation, has launched a new apartment building project in Yekaterinburg in the Ural region of Russia.
The residential development is called ‘Favourit’ and comprises two buildings offering 272 apartments with total living space of 17,000 m2.
The development encompasses some 25,000 m2 in total and is scheduled for completion by end-2014.
Another residential project - called 'Forest' - will also commence in Yekaterinburg later this year. The project will consist of two 25-storey buildings to be built in two phases, with plans for 440 apartments in total.
Yekaterinburg is the fourth largest city in Russia in terms of population and will be one of the host cities for the 2018 World Cup.
