Helsinki-listed construction group YIT has sold 87 apartments in Finland to Ålandsbanken’s housing fund for more than €20 mln.

The apartments are located in the Helsinki region and other growth centres in Finland.

The deal is a continuation of the agreement signed in February, which involved the sale of 221 apartments and amounted to €43 mln.

In a separate statement, the company said it is to invest €300 mln in the construction of an apartment complex in the historic centre of St. Petersburg.

The project, due for completion in 2017, consists of construction of three new buildings with 400 apartments and the renovation of existing buildings on the plot.
