XXI Century Investments has been granted a permit to build a 45,000 m2 shopping centre in the Ukrainian port city of Sevastopol. The Kvadrat mall will be the first shopping centre developed by the company outside Ukraine's capital region.
The Ukrainian real estate investor-developer said on Thursday that it has started negotiations with potential anchor tenants, including major international and local operators of hypermarket chains and multiplex movie theatres for the scheme located in the largest city in the Crimea.
On 20 December, the company announced it had arranged credit facilities totalling EUR 45 mln with the local offices of BNP Paribas and Alfa banks. The facilities will be used primarily to finance the development of four modern shopping centres in Ukraine.
