New York-based investment firm WP Carey has appointed Cabot Lodge as president of its UK subsidiary and head of European Investments. WP Carey has a global portfolio of nearly $10 bn (EUR 7.5 bn) in assets, with assets under management in Europe accounting for $3 bn. The firm also has an office in Amsterdam that oversees its European asset management business.
Most recently, Lodge served as managing partner of CL Prop, a real estate advisory and corporate net lease management company he created in an alliance with Structure Tone Equities.
On Monday, HDG Mansur Investment Services also announced the appointment of Ben Hall as European asset manager. Hall is based in HDG Mansur's London office and will have responsibility for the UK and the Netherlands. The company said that the 'appointment reflects HDG Mansur's mood for the future, placing the company in a strong position for further growth and development into Europe'.
