London-listed Workspace Group has sold 10 industrial estates to Dutch firm Capital Industrial for £44.3 mln (€56 mln), one third above the portfolio's March 2014 valuation.

Jamie Hopkins, CEO of Workspace, said the sale of the assets was at a ‘substantial premium to their book values’.

The price for the 10 non-core London sites, which total 26,150 m2 of space, was 35% above a March 2014 valuation.

The increase was driven by the ‘substantial depth of demand for the properties from a number of potential purchasers’, Hopkins said.
