The first phase of the Cross Point Zory development in Southern Poland is under construction and is due to be available for lease from December 2006. In total the site covers about 38 hectares and can provide 140,000 m2 of modern industrial and logistics space, plus ancillary offices.

The second phase is to begin in spring 2007, and the entire park is due to be completed in three to four years. Sweden's Skanska has been appointed as the general contractor for the project. The buildings will offer a full range of unit sizes from 2,000 m2, DTZ, the lead agent, said.

The Cross Point development is located close to the main junction with the proposed A1 highway, which is due to be constructied shortly. Once completed the highway will provide access northwards to the junction with the A4 highway at Gliwice, and southwards to the Czech border.

DTZ's regional director Craig Maguire noted that the location will provide occupiers with the opportunity to serve international, regional and national markets. 'Also given the availability of labour in the Zory area the site is well-positioned for industrial and manufacturing uses,' he said.

The property is owned by Haussmann Developments.
