UK-focused retail specialist Capital & Regional has appointed Stuart Wetherly as executive director.
Wetherly has also been confirmed as group finance director, having fulfilled the role in an acting capacity until now. He will also continue to undertake the duties of company secretary.
Wetherly has held a number of senior finance positions since joining Capital & Regional in November 2012 as director of operational finance and reporting. Prior to that he was a director in Deloitte LLP's audit practice for six years and worked in finance for Johnson Matthey plc.
Chairman Hugh Scott-Barrett said: 'Having spent much of his career at Capital & Regional, Stuart is more than qualified for this role and is deeply familiar with our operations and strategy.'
