Weinberg Capital Partners, a Paris-based buy-out and real estate investor, has acquired the French operations of Captiva Capital Management.
Led by Emeric Lacourte, Captiva's Paris-based asset management business has €300 mln in French real estate assets under management.
Serge Weinberg, President of Weinberg Capital Partners, said: 'This acquisition is a great opportunity to expand our real estate platform to asset management on behalf of institutional clients through dedicated mandates. It fits our strategy to capitalise on our expertise in private equity and real estate where we have already raised €800 mln of capital.'
Laurent Halimi, managing director and head of real estate, added: 'The company, now called W Asset Management, will allow our LPs (limited partners ed.) to access investment opportunities, through stand-alone investments or club deals, complementary to those completed by Weinberg Real Estate Partners 2, a €200 mln opportunistic fund closed in June 2014.'
