Weight Watchers Deutschland has signed a lease at the Living Office loft development on the former Rheinmetall site in Dusseldorf-Derendorf for its new headquarters. Colliers Trombello Kölbel Immobilienconsulting acted as consultants and estate agents for Weight Watchers in the transaction. Weight Watchers plans to take up residence in the building during the summer of 2009.

The building of the new loft complex is taking place directly next to the extensively refurbished old building on Rather Strasse. The office building will offer a total of 6,000 m2of net space on seven floors. The architecture will be oriented towards the industrial character of the old building, Colliers TKI said. The central foyer will extend over two storeys. The owner of the project development and of the old building is a subsidiary company of the US-American food concern Cargill.

Atos Capital is acting as consultant to the owner in regard to Living Office. The property asset manager resident in Hamburg invests in holdings both in existing properties and project developments. At present Atos Capital is engaged in projects valued at more than EUR 1bn.
