This week, public and private real estate debt is pulling in capital from investors persuaded by the asset classes’ strong risk-return story at this stage in the cycle. Investors bought into a UK affordable housing CMBS in the last few days and several REIT bond issuances were heavily oversubscribed.
Three established managers of debt funds have raised fresh capital.
Offices feature prominently, both in new assets brought to the market in Germany, Italy and Ireland and in London and Paris where several very large transactions were agreed or closed.
