Among seven managers raising, M&G Real Estate reported record inflows into its European Property Fund, of £524 mln between January and March. It was the largest amount raised in a single quarter in the fund’s 15-year history.

Managed by David Jackson and Simon Ellis, EPF has outperformed the main European balanced fund indices over 3, 5, 10 and 15-year periods.

Allianz Global Investors, a sister company to Allianz Real Estate, held a €515 mln first close on a debut, high-yielding global real estate debt fund in only a few weeks since first launch in February.

CBRE Investment Managers’ debt team also announced the launch of a UK credit strategy which will make senior loans.

Among deals completing was what is believed to be Scotland’s largest-ever single office sale by value - with Spanish investor Pontegadea investing £215 mln in a new, green building in Glasgow.
