Listed Belgian developer-investor WDP has acquired the FMCG campus leased to logistics group DHL in the Belgian town of Bornem for €58 mln.

The vendor was MG Real Estate, part of De Paepe Group.

The Bornem site is the second FMCG campus in WDP's portfolio following the acquisition of the first such facility in Tiel (Netherlands) for Kuehne + Nagel in November 2014.

The transaction, which will take place via the acquisition of 100% of the shares of MLB NV, involves a site of 72,000 m2 of existing buildings and 18,000 m2 of buildings under construction.

It also provides for the possible realisation of a third and final phase of some 13,000 m2, subject to leasing to DHL Supply Chain, providing a combined XXL platform of some 100,000 m2.

The deal is expected to close at end-March 2015.
