The financial details were not disclosed.
Warburg-Henderson purchased Mariahilfer Strasse 37-39 on behalf of Warburg-Henderson Austria Fund No. 2. The property consists of a historical part and a building from the 1990s, which together provide 6,000 m2 of leasable area.
Located in Vienna's 6th district, Mariahilfer Strasse is one of the busiest shopping streets in the Austrian capital. The street is being transformed into a pedestrian zone, which will increase its attraction as a shopping destination.
Warburg-Henderson Austria Fund No. 2 was launched in March 2011 to allow German and Austrian investors to access the core/core-plus spectrum of the market in Austria. The fund has a target volume of €360 mln, including debt.
