The real estate unit of French construction group Vinci has sold the Bayard office project in Lyon to the Banque de France. The financial details were not disclosed.
Le Bayard development is located in the newly developed district of Confluence and provides nearly 6,000 m2 of office space.
Designed by architects Soho Architecture et Urbanisme, the property has a Minergie energy efficiency certificate. Brice Robert Arthur Loyd advised on the transaction. The project is due for completion in the third quarter of 2011, according to a Vinci spokesperson.
Vinci is joining forces with Groupe Brémond to develop the Amplia building, consisting of 66 apartments, in the same area. In Lyon, the company is also carrying out the redevelopment of the Debrousse hospital into a new four-star hotel with 150 rooms and 135 apartments.
Vinci Immobilier is active in the development of commercial and residential property across 15 locations in France. The company's major project is the development of the 90,000 m2 Tour Generali skyscraper at La Defense, which is planned for completion in 2015.
