French property developer Vinci Immobilier is joining forces with investor Carrefour Property, the real estate arm of the French retail giant, to develop two retail parks in Nanteuil-les-Meaux and Mareuil-les-Meaux, in the Seine et Marne region of France. The investment amount was not disclosed.

The project will provide some 4,700 m2 of retail space for the Nanteuil plot and an additional 8,900 m2 for the Mareuil site. The two retail parks, designed by architect Pierre-Henri Portron, are scheduled for opening in 2011.

The sites are currently occupied by two Champion stores that will move at the end of 2009 to a neighbouring site where a Champion hypermarket will be built.
