Jones Lang LaSalle announced on Monday that it has appointed Verena Brueller to lead its London-based German desk. Brueller joins from Commerz Real where she was responsible for UK and Ireland acquisitions.

JLL has a number of specialist International desks operating across the UK, coordinated in London by Chris Brett. Working closely with the long established Pan European and International Capital Group at JLL, the international desks have dedicated resources to source opportunities in the UK market for clients coming from Germany, Ireland, Japan, Israel, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and North America. The team was most recently involved with the acquisition of Victoria House, Bloomsbury, for M1 Real Estate for £175 mln (EUR 194 mln).

Chris Staveley, director of JLL's Pan European Capital Markets team added: 'We expect German investors to continue to be active in the UK and Verena's client side experience at Commerz will help us to further service this important client base.'

Brueller has worked at Commerz Real since 2006 and prior to that she was at Atis Real in Germany. She holds a postgraduate degree in Real Estate Economics from ADI Akademie der Immobilienwirtschaft, Frankfurt am Main.
