European logistics real estate specialist Verdion has started the speculative development of a new 23,243 m2 urban logistics property in Oberhausen, Germany.
With a gross development value of €32 mln, the new facility is expected to complete in summer 2024, offering 20,073 m2 ground-level logistics area as well as mezzanine and office space. The hall can be divided into up to two units of the same size or leased as a whole.
The new asset is being created on a derelict brownfield site within an established industrial area of Oberhausen, with more than 4.2 million people living within 40 minutes of the site.
The facility has been specified to high technical standards for operational and energy efficiency, and a long service life. It has been designed to achieve the DGNB Platinum sustainability accreditation, in line with Verdion’s ESG requirements.

Leasing agents are BNP Paribas.
Verdion is also undertaking the speculative development of Verdion PremierPark Ludwigsfelde, a €100 mln industrial and logistics park 35 minutes from Central Berlin, with completion planned for next year.
