European logistics developer-investor Verdion will invest €29 mln into the development of a new 57,000 m2 logistics facility for dairy equipment manufacturer DeLaval close to the German port city of Hamburg.
The warehouse will be located east of Hamburg, at Business Park A-24, and will operate as a strategic base for DeLaval, which employs over 4,500 people, and serves over 100 markets with net annual sales of around €1 bn.
'With Verdion DeLaval found a highly professional partner also sharing our ambition to drive sustainability,' said Florian Mull, director supply chain strategy at DeLaval. Verdion and DeLaval are aiming to develop the building according to the highest sustainability requirements.
Construction will commence in the first quarter of 2016 with project completion expected in December 2016.
