Logistics specialist Verdion has further increased its Swedish pipeline with the acquisition of an urban logistics site in Gothenburg with an anticipated gross development value in excess of €54 mln.
The pan-European logistics specialist will speculatively develop 17,314 m2 of Grade A distribution space that could be leased as a whole or divisible in up to three units, ready for occupation in Q1 2024. The facility will also include office, welfare and mezzanine accommodation, with high levels of sustainability and flexibility throughout.
The 31,782 m2 fully-zoned site is located in the established logistics and retail location of Bäckebol, 10 km north of Gothenburg city centre on the European Freeway 6 which links Gothenburg with Oslo the north and Malmö and Copenhagen in the south. Local occupiers include IKEA, DB Schenker, DHL, Elgiganten and Bauhaus.
