European logistics specialist Verdion has acquired an urban logistics asset close to Aarhus in the Danish region of Jutland, its third in the Nordics for Verdion European Logistics Fund 1 (VELF 1).
The 16,180 m2 property, Niels Bohrs Vej 37, Skanderborg, has been bought from Hanssen Logistik, part of the Hanssen Ejendomme property company, for €12 mln (DKK 96 mln).
Located in Skanderborg's industrial area of Stilling, it comprises an 8,223 m2 cross-dock warehouse with 1,857 m2 of offices and storage occupied by DHL and BFT Logistik & Ejendomme, as well as a new 6,100 m2 warehouse let to Dan-Form A/S.
Peter Michael Tetzlaff, head of Investment – Nordics, at Verdion said: ‘The Aarhus logistics market is increasingly attractive as the surge in ecommerce continues and supply across Denmark tightens. This modern, multi-let asset – which was secured in an off-market transaction – offers strong potential for value-add and occupies a strategic location on the E45 motorway, close to Denmark’s second largest city with good links to the country’s main port. We are pleased to be marking our first acquisition in Jutland, an area we will be focusing on further in the months ahead.’
Lund Advice, KHR and Accura advised Verdion. DLA Piper advised the seller.
