Verdion and Aviva Investors have given the green light for development to start at E20 Park Copenhagen, bringing new warehouse space to the region ready for Q2 next year.
E20 Park Copenhagen is one of Denmark’s largest logistics developments, offering a wide range of unit sizes on its 38-hectare site 35 minutes away from the city centre.
In the first phase of development, approximately 12,000 m2 of warehouse space will be constructed speculatively to meet immediate demand for modern, well-located space.
Construction will start on site in August with completion expected by April 2022, although earlier access may be possible. The main contractor is Dansk Hal.
Lease terms are available from retained agents CBRE.
Longer term, the park has capacity for 150,000 m2 of logistics space on the fully zoned 38 -hectare site.
John Clements, executive director of Verdion, said: ‘The growth in e-commerce is continuing to impact all markets and we’re seeing huge demand for space at E20 Park from businesses keen for immediate occupation. This decision to start speculatively should help meet pressing requirements, and the site is already primed for development so new occupiers will have certainty of rapid delivery as well as energy efficient new space.’
George Fraser-Harding, fund manager at Aviva Investors, said: ‘The decision to develop speculatively underlines our confidence in the park. We are continuing to see strong occupier demand across most markets in Europe and Copenhagen is no exception. Our partners will build some of the best quality space available in Denmark to strong sustainability standards, providing appropriate units for businesses in the area. This is an exciting step in our long-term commitment to the area.’
