Swedish real estate company Vasakronan is acquiring an office project in the city of Malmö for SEK 246 mln (EUR 27 mln). The vendor is Nordic construction and development group NCC.

Swedish real estate company Vasakronan is acquiring an office project in the city of Malmö for SEK 246 mln (EUR 27 mln). The vendor is Nordic construction and development group NCC.

The Västra Hamnen's Koggen 2 property comprises a total leasable area of 8,100 m2 distributed among six floors.

The premises primarily comprises office spaces but will also feature some service areas on the ground floor. The building is under construction and the premises will be ready for occupancy in autumn 2012. Vasakronan will take possession on completion.

NCC is targeting a BREEAM sustainability classification of 'Very Good' for the scheme.

Vasakronan owns and manages 218 properties with a total area of 2.8 million m2. The portfolio was valued at EUR 8.8 bn at end-June 2011. The company is owned equally by the First, Second, Third and Fourth Swedish National Pension Funds.
