Dutch listed property group Corio announced on Monday that John van Haaren is to succeed Gerard Groener as CEO of Corio Nederland Retail on 1 May. Corio announced in early December that Groener will take over as CEO of Corio from Jan de Kreij at the beginning of May.

Together with Paul Tankink, Van Haaren will also sit on the board of Corio's development arm, Corio Development Company (CDC), which was set up in January.
Van Haaren will be responsible for all Corio's activities in the Netherlands related to the company's current and future retail portfolio. He joined Corio in September 2000 as CFO of Corio Spain (at that time VIB Spain) and was appointed CEO of Corio Spain in July 2003.
Inigo Yllera, currently commercial director of Corio Spain, will be appointed as director of Corio's operations in the country on 1 May 2008.
