Hamburg-headquartered Values Real Estate has appointed Bastian Mlecko to the newly created position of head of retail investment.
Mlecko has more than 15 years of experience in this asset class. In his most recent role, Mlecko was transaction director at Redevco for six years and was responsible for deals in the DACH region and Eastern Europe, during which time he oversaw more than 50 transactions.
Before that, he worked in retail investment at JLL for around six years, where he was responsible for brokering commercial buildings and retail parks.
Mlecko began his career at mfi Management für Immobilien, today Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. he also worked for a spell at retail specialist Kemper's, which was acquired by JLL in 2008. Mlecko has special expertise in the area of sought-after inner-city locations, which corresponds to the investment strategy of Values.

Values Real Estate has to date created a total of twelve institutional funds with the investment focus on city centre, prime locations, in logistics, health and social infrastructure. Last year, Values Real Estate invested around €1.3 bn.
