Hamburg-headquartered Values Real Estate has appointed Georg Ritgen and Bent Roggenbock to strengthen the firm's investment acquisition team.

Ritgen will take over the position ofhead of transactions, with Roggenbock joining the Values health team as an investment manager.

Ritgen has around 10 years experience in the field of healthcare real estate and was most recently director of national healthcare services at BNP Paribas Real Estate in Germany.

He led the team for the rental and sale of healthcare properties. Before that, he worked for around seven years at CBRE in the investment team managing care and rehabilitation clinic real estate. He is a qualified industrial construction engineer.

Roggenbock was most recently associate director at Jones Lang LaSalle in Frankfurt. He started out in the real estate industry at CBRE in the capital markets team, where he worked for three years, initially as an analyst and later as a consultant.

Thilo Wagner, managing director of Values health & social infrastructure team, said: 'Our rapid growth in the newly created Values Health & Social Infrastructure division allows us to take this step and acquire qualified personnel from good companies. We are looking to place €500 mln in this area across various assets.'

The Values health & social infrastructure division currently manages three special funds in public sector real estate, comprising medical centres and day-care centres. Further products with a focus on healthcare properties and public infrastructure are currently in the planning stage.
