Valad Europe has sold seven office assets totalling 43,761 m2 in the Netherlands for an undisclosed sum.
Three of the assets - Pettelaarpark 80-89, Europalaan 30 in Den Bosch and Stationsplein 1-37 in Amersfoort - were sold from the Dutch Offices I & II portfolio, which Valad Europe was appointed to manage in 2013.
Rivium Quadrant 1 and Rivium Westlaan 8 in Capelle aan den Ijssel, De Bijster in Breda and Van Godewijckstraat 17–27 in Dordrecht were sold from the Omikron portfolio, which Valad Europe was appointed to asset manage by Hummingbird in 2015. The majority of buildings in the Omikron portfolio are located in the Randstad region, which contains the four largest Dutch cities.
'These sales follow the completion of our business plans for the assets which included a mixture of repositioning of the buildings and reduction in vacant space. Particular highlights included fully letting the 5,471 sqm De Bijster building and refurbishment of parts of the Stationsplein building,' commented Mark McLaughlin, Valad Europe’s head of Benelux.
Agents acting on behalf of Valad included Savills for the Dutch Offices assets, Skyline Vastgoed for two of the Omikron assets and Vander Sande Van Opstal Bedrijfsmakelaars for the other Omikron asset.
Valad Europe manages around €1 bn of real estate assets in the Benelux region, and €3.7 bn in total across Europe.
