The property at 201 Bishopsgate, and the adjoining Broadgate Tower, form the latest phase of the Broadgate Estate, the largest speculative development underway in the City of London. 201 Bishopsgate is due for completion in February 2008, with Broadgate Tower to follow in May of that year.

When complete, the 35-storey Broadgate Tower will rise to 165 metres, making it the third tallest building in the City. It will have a floor space of 37,000 m2. The two buildings are designed by the Chicago office of Skidmore Owings And Merrill (SOM).

Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw's current London headquarters is at 11 Pilgrim Street and the firm has a second office at St Mary Axe. The law firm is headquartered in Chicago and has some 1,400 lawyers in seven US and six European cities.
