Cécile Costa, who is a specialist in environmental and risk management for logistics buildings, has become development and environment director with the task of integrating sustainable practices into all Scannell’s development processes and minimising the environmental impact of its buildings and surrounding sites.

She has joined from French industrial and commercial real estate company, Andine Group.

Said Costa: ‘I am excited to join Scannell Properties at a time when warehouse development is booming across France. Manufacturing, retail and third party-logistic sectors all face extreme pressure to modernise supply chains and keep pace with changing consumer habits.’

‘I see a huge opportunity for me to develop new ways of working and deliver projects that balance long-term environmental gains whilst meeting the immediate challenges faced by our clients.’

Amaury Gariel, Scannell Properties’ MD for Europe and the UK, explained: ‘Controlling the ecological impact of our work is of vital importance, not only to us but to our clients, both occupiers and investors.’
