Syllâbus, the student housing brand of Spanish developer Urbania International, has unveiled its latest project in Seville as part of a 2,500-bed student housing drive.
Syllâbus is set to invest more than €15 mln in the development of a new student scheme in Seville with 220 bedrooms, covering 6,150 m2. Designed by architecture studio Buró 4, the residence will be operative as of 2021.
'Our offer looks after the necessities of the students, creating an ecosystem that adapts to the new demands of the youth, and focuses on uniting the personal, professional and student life,' said Syllâbus CEO, Jeffrey Sújar.
The Syllâbus strategy includes rolling out around 2,500 beds in the main university cities of Spain and Portugal. According to the firm, the current market for student housing is both lacking in beds and modern supply.
Syllâbus has further projects in Madrid, Valencia, Salamanca, Pamplona, and Málaga, and said it was looking for further expansion opportunities in Barcelona, Granada, Oporto or Milán.
Urbania inked an agreement with investment manager Invesco Real Estate earlier this year to roll out a long-term student housing strategy, ultimately developing 3,500 beds.
As well as its student subsidiary Syllabus, Urbania develops coworking centres through its subsidiary Monday.
