Schloter has extensive professional experience in the investment business and in management consulting, having held positions in Frankfurt, London and Munich.

'In Patrick Schloter, we have been able to attract a proven capital markets expert with an excellent track record to our team,' said Simon Math, partner and head of venture capital at Rivus Capital. Added Math: 'Following the successful launch of our venture capital division last year, entering the private equity segment is the next key strategic step as we expand our investment activities.'

Rivus Capital engages in private equity and venture capital investments in the core sectors of real estate technology, mobility, energy and impact, which it groups together as 'urban tech'.

In contrast to many other investment companies, Rivus Capital does not manage the capital of institutional investors, but invests its own funds and supports established and new companies with equity, a network of partners and industry expertise.

Said Schloter: 'The hallmark of my career to date is commitment to investments in sustainable and disruptive future technologies. I would now like to continue this approach together with Rivus Capital and invest in entrepreneurs and their visions.

'The company also focuses on supporting Impact investments in accordance with clearly defined ESG criteria, which is why Rivus Capital is urban tech in action for me – I am very much looking forward to hitting the ground running in my new role.'
