UK student accommodation provider Unite Students has spent £32 mln (€38 mln) on upgrading its properties.
The upgrades will enhance the living experience for 5,239 students across 11 major refurbishment projects nationwide. This is part of a larger, ongoing five-year program with an annual budget of £50-£75 mln (€60- €90 mln).
Stapleton House, an 862-bed student residence in North London housing University College London students, has been enhanced by a £1.5 mln renovation. The upgrade features a new reception, updated study and social spaces, a common room, and a private courtyard.
Cedar House, a 102-bed residence within Liverpool's Knowledge Quarter and part of a larger 1,000+ student village has undergone a £2.6 mln complete overhaul, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas.
Glasgow's Thurso Street, a 405-bed student residence across from the University of Glasgow, received an £8 mln refurbishment. The upgrade includes a large common room and ca ommunal study area.
Numerous other properties were also refurbished, including locations in London (Angel Lane, North Lodge, Olympic Way, and Station Court), Portsmouth (Rosalind Franklin), Birmingham (Oak Brook Park), Durham (Rushford Court), and Glasgow (Kyle Park House).
