Unibail-Rodamco has reported that turnover for the first 9 months of 2013 amounted to €1.3 bn, plus 4,3% on the same period in 2012.
Europe's largest listed property company said the main growth was in its shopping centre division.
Gross rental income (GRI) for shopping centres came to just under €898 mln for the first nine months of 2013, an increase of +7.5% versus the same period in 2012. This increase was driven by letting activity and deliveries of new malls, such as Confluence and So Ouest in France and El Faro in Spain, and two extensions.
In the office sector, the GRI decreased by -6.3% versus the first nine months of 2012 to €129.2 mln, mainly due to the divestment of Oxygène completed in late 2012. GRI of the Convention-Exhibition sector decreased by -3.9to €128 mln as a result of what Unibail-Rodamco described as the 'normal seasonal nature of the business', as well as the generally weak economic environment.
