Unibail-Rodamco, Europe's largest publicly traded property company, has named Robert ter Haar as its new supervisory board chairman, replacing Robert van Oordt.
The appointment will be formalised at Unibail-Rodamco's next annual general meeting on April 26, when Van Oordt will step down for retirement reasons. Ter Haar will also replace Van Oordt as chairman of Unibail-Rodamco's governance, nomination and remuneration committee.
Ter Haar has been a member of the Unibail-Rodamco's supervisory board since 2007 and was a member of the Rodamco Europe supervisory board from 2004 until the company merged with Unibail in 2007.
At next month's AGM, the supervisory board will also propose the appointment of Rachel Picard as a new member. Picard is currently CEO of Thomas Cook France and was formerly CEO of voyages-sncf.com. In addition, shareholders will be asked to endorse the renewal of supervisory board mandates for Mary Harris, Jean-Louis Laurens and Alec Pelmore.
