Pan-European property company Unibail-Rodamco has signed a long-term agreement with Defacto for the leasing of the Villon parking lot at the feet of the Majunga tower development located in the Parisian business district La Defense.
The parking lot, offering a total of 221 parking spaces, is owned by Defacto, a unit of the l'Etablissement Public de Gestion du quartier d’affaires de La Défense (EPGD), the state-owned management company of La Defense. The property is operated by the French construction group Vinci's Sepadef subsidiary.
Unibail-Rodamco is leasing the parking space with a term of 18 years and the possibility to extend the lease for a further 18 years. The operation will bring between EUR 12 and 15 mln to the public company's coffers, EPAD said in a statement.
Designed by star architect Jean-Paul Viguier, the Majunga tower is being developed by Unibail-Rodamco and will offer 69,500 m2 of office space on completion. The leasing agreement was necessary for Unibail-Rodamco to obtain a building permit on the Majunga tower, Epad said.
