To further develop ULI’s presence in Spain, Recio will closely collaborate with the Chairman of ULI Spain, Alberto Valls, and the ULI team based in London.

Lisette van Doorn, CEO, ULI Europe, said: 'Barbara has extensive experience across the real estate industry and we are so pleased to welcome her to ULI. Spain is a significant market with a huge potential for us to further ULI’s mission and grow our membership.

'I look forward to working closely with Barbara, along with our leadership and members in Spain to drive forward our ambitious expansion strategy.'

Said Recio: 'I am very excited to join ULI. It is an honour for me that ULI has entrusted me to help them grow their membership in Spain and deliver their mission - shaping the future of our industry and creating thriving communities.'

ULI's European Conference this year is slated for 6-8 June in Madrid.
