The UK's National Farmers Union Mutual Insurance Society has purchased the Old Fire Station in the Fitzrovia district of London for almost £22 mln (€30 mln).
The 1,740 m2 property is located on Maple Street near Tottenham Court station which will be an important hub in the new Crossrail train network.
The fire station was built in the early 20th century and converted into offices in 1999.
NFU Mutual was represented by DTZ and Springer Nicolas, while Colliers International acted for the vendor, Aberdeen Asset Management.
