UBS Global Asset Management has announced the appointment of Thomas Wels as new head of global real estate, effective December 1, 2012.
He will replace Paul Marcuse, who is leaving the company after 32 years and after six years at the helm of the property investment management business.
Wels, formerly chief operating officer, has been a member of the UBS executive committee since 2007, with responsibility for the successful integration and expansion of the group's global fund services business.
