UBS Asset Management has appointed Asher Garnett to be its director of UK business development.
Asher is joining UBS from BlackRock, where he spent the past five years working in real estate and alternative investments. His most recent position was UK real estate product strategist, overseeing investor relations and contributing to equity raising across the global real estate platform.
He will report to Eoin Bastible, head of business development for EMEA excluding Switzerland, working alongside GRE's investment teams to both nurture existing, and build new relationships with institutional investors.
'Asher stood out as the ideal candidate for this role given his extensive experience working within the UK real estate sector and strong track record in managing institutional clients as a real estate product specialist,' said Bastible.
