UBS Asset Management has appointed Reto Ketterer as head of real estate Europe, excluding Switzerland, in its real estate & private markets business.
As of January 1, 2018, Ketterer will be based in Zurich, with responsibility for the overall management and continued development of the enlarged REPM platform, reporting directly to Thomas Wels, head of real estate & private markets at UBS AM.
'The longevity of Reto's experience with the firm and his deep understanding of the European business, key markets and sectors that are integral to delivering on behalf of our investors means he is extremely well placed to ensure the continued success of the business,' commented Wels.
His previous role was head of business management & operations within REPM, which he held from 2007 to 2017. Prior to this he was head of Europe ex Switzerland at what was formerly UBS AM global real estate between 2003 and 2007.
Ketterer is a member of the REPM management and European investment committees and chairs REPM’s European management committee. He is also the chair of the board of directors of UBS Real Estate in Munich.
Patrick O’Sullivan will succeed Ketterer as head of business management & operations reporting directly to Wels.
