The Vincent Hotel Group (TVHG) plans to develop a 314-room Novotel near Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.
The Dutch hotel developer-operator has signed a purchase agreement with the local authorities in Amsterdam for the land on which the hotel is to be built.
Colliers International represented TVHG in the acquisition of the land and was also responsible for advising on the financing of the €50 mln development.
Bart van der Kamp, CEO of TVHG, said: 'This is the first time we have developed a brand new hotel. In the last three years we have converted nine hotels in the Netherlands, all in the limited service category operated under the Holiday Inn Express and Hampton by Hilton brands. We have another nine hotels planned over the next three years.
The hotel will be located directly opposite Hoofddorp railway station, just four minutes from the Schiphol Airport terminals. It will feature a fitness room, meeting rooms, bar and restaurant. Construction will start in October and take 14 months.
The building has been designed by Mulderblauw Architects with a focus on sustainability.
Novotel is an Accor hotel brand.
