Hungarian developer TriGranit has entered Macedonia through an agreement with Slovenian group Era Holding on a large-scale development project in Skopje.

The deal covers the provision of real estate development, property management and leasing services.

The project involves a new city centre, Era City, which is being built next to the centre of Skopje and includes a shopping and entertainment centre, office buildings and a hotel.

'Our company has extensive experience in the development of new city centres,' said Török Árpád, CEO of TriGranit Development Corporation. The company developed Arena Centar, the largest shopping and entertainment centre in Zagreb, and Arena Zagreb, the adjacent multifunctional sports arena, both of which resemble the current Era project in Skopje, Árpád added.

Era Group also owns the 55,000 m2 Skopski Saem Skopje, the largest fair and exhibition centre in the Republic of Macedonia. As part of the cooperation, TriGranit Management Corporation will also be involved in the property and event management of Skopje International Centre as well as the adjacent multipurpose event hall.

'By entering the Republic of Macedonia, we have expanded not only our regional portfolio, but also our professional portfolio with the management of a fairs and exhibitions centre,' commented Philip Evans, CEO of TriGranit Management Corporation.
