Budapest-based developer Trigranit has opened Arena Centar in Zagreb, its first shopping centre in Croatia. The new mall is located at the south-western entrance to the Croatian metropolis beside the multifunctional Arena Zagreb venue.
Budapest-based developer Trigranit has opened Arena Centar in Zagreb, its first shopping centre in Croatia. The new mall is located at the south-western entrance to the Croatian metropolis beside the multifunctional Arena Zagreb venue.
During a press conference ahead of the grand opening on Friday, Trigranit's CEO Árpád Török said that Arena Centar and the Arena Zagreb venue marked 'only the start of Trigranit’s presence in Croatia'. 'Arena Centar has been successfully realized in difficult times. The fact that the largest foreign direct investment in SEE since the start of the global financial crisis has been pumped into this project indicates its significance.'
The total investment came to over EUR 350 mln, he said. Arena Centar anchors include Interspar (the largest hypermarket in Croatia), Sportina, Inditex and New Yorker. Over 20% of brands entering Arena Centar are either new on the Croatian market or are appearing as new concepts. Trigranit will continue as operator of the centre.
