German real estate company Trei Real Estate has completed the Fischerhof residential complex in Mainz's Zollhafen district, for an investment of around €40 mln.
The project, whose construction began in September 2021, now offers 88 modern apartments across approximately 6,500 m2 of living space. All units are already occupied.
Fischerhof apartments range from one to six rooms and feature fitted kitchens, parquet flooring, and underfloor heating. Residents have access to 72 underground parking spaces and ample bicycle storage.
Pepijn Morshuis, CEO of Trei, commented: ‘The completion of Fischerhof fills us with pride because we finished yet another attractive residential development in an exclusive location. Its unique waterfront location, its great home amenities, and its proximity to the Frankfurt metro region prompted enormous demand among prospective tenants. At the same time, the project is a crucial contribution to the effort of creating urgently needed new homes in one of the most popular regions of Germany.’
Mainz's former customs port is being transformed into a vibrant new urban district centered around an eight-hectare basin adjacent to the Rhine. The Fischerhof complex is a key component of the 5,500 m2 Hafeninsel II development. Man-made canals encircling the area create a strong waterfront atmosphere, while an art project on the grounds adds a maritime flair.
Trei is actively involved in two construction projects at Mainz's Zollhafen: the completed Fischerhof and the nearby Lotsenhof. The latter, comprising 95 apartments, was sold to Competo Capital Partners in 2022 and delivered in January 2024.
With a primary focus on multi-family homes, Trei is currently developing approximately 1,400 rental apartments across Germany. In addition to Mainz, these projects are located in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, and Düsseldorf.
