French property company Arkéa REIM has acquired a life science asset in Assen, the Netherlands for its fund SCPI Transitions Europe.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The transaction comprises a bioanalytical laboratory, with approximately 5,650 m2 of lettable floor area, ample outdoor parking, and an energy performance label A++.
The property was built in 2015 and expanded in 2020, and is now fully let to Icon, a globally active company providing a broad range of services, ranging from consulting to clinical development and commercialisation services to the pharmaceutical industry.
Sienna Investment Managers’ (Sienna IM) Benelux Real Estate team advised SCPI Transitions Europe on the deal. Sienna recently also assisted the fund with the acquisition of a light industrial asset in Velden-Venlo.

During the transaction, seller was advised by Cushman & Wakefield (commercial) and Clifford Chance (legal).
