Goodman Group has emerged as the winner for the third time running in the PropertyEU Top Developers ranking.

The Sydney-based company, which is active in Europe as a developer as well as its GELF fund as well as other country-focussed vehicles, saw the floor space of completed projects rise by almost 25% between 2011 and 2013 compared to last year’s figure.

The company was the biggest developer overall and the biggest in the logistics sector. Runners-up in the logistics sector were Panattoni Europe and Prologis Europe - both affiliates of US logistics giants. In value terms, Hamburg-based retail developer ECE Goodman leads developers ranking for third time emerged as the winner overall while the biggest office developer was Hines Europe which more than doubled the total volume in m2 of its completed projects year-on-year.

The PropertyEU Ranking of Top Developers 2014 is based on projects of more than 5,000 m2 which were completed between 2011 and 2013. The weighted ranking is based on the European average investment volume per m2 across different asset classes for 2013. The ranking is based on PropertyEU’s annual survey and desk research and focuses on companies with activities in at least one country outside their home market.
