A 25,000 sq ft (2,323 m2) building on the Hillington, Glasgow development launched by UK regeneration specialist St Modwen Properties has now been pre-sold to tool supply company Toolbank, which will relocate from central Glasgow.

The development of a total 80,000 sq ft in high-quality industrial accommodation is set to get under way at the former Rolls Royce site at the end of the month. Muir Construction has been awarded the construction contract for the development, which is scheduled for completion in August. St Modwen Properties acquired the site two years ago.

St Modwen said it has already embarked on a substantial programme of refurbishing the existing 650,000 sq ft of industrial buildings. It said that space is proving popular with occupiers seeking refurbished space on flexible terms.

Colliers CRE and Atisreal are letting agents for St Modwen.
