TomTom, the Dutch producer of navigation systems, is to lease 11,000 m[sup]2[/sup] in the Oosterdokseiland development in Amsterdam, according to sources in the sector. The company's headquarters are currently located on Rembrandtplein in the heart of the Dutch capital, but the company is believed to be planning to move its office to a location east of Amsterdam's central train station being developed by Bouwfonds MAB. Both TomTom and Bouwfonds MAB declined to comment.

The development, one of the largest urban regeneration projects in western Europe, covers more than 200,000 m2 and will have 1,600 underground parking spaces. Apartments, shops and offices are also being built in the area.
