The reduction of the floor space will be achieved by encouraging home- working by its staff and the creation of mobile workstations. In addition, TNT's divisions will relocate to new buildings at the end of the lease contracts at existing properties. Verwaaijen said this would require the development of new buildings across the Netherlands, as it had not proven feasible to have existing offices converted to meet the ambitious environmental aims.
